The jb4 can't really help you here, you'll get more boost than stock but I opted not to run anything more than map 1...

I am wondering if I don't plug in the tmap and map plugs and only the obd2 connection, can the jb4 act as a pure data logger?

My old jb4 which has a damaged map and tmap harness is just laying...

Jb4 acts really weird on my car despite the engine being mechanically identical to 30i models.

This is only true for those NOT equipped with EWG wires. At least in the sense that EWG equipped cars should have full control over the turbo, whether the car runs smoothly or not is a separate...

Yes of course the DME uses the throttle for many things. But one thing it definitely DOES use the throttle for is boost control. If the DME sees a boost signal higher than the DMEBT it tries to close...

While looking at VipinLJ, Ghozthunter, leoffyddd and TurboH's logs (They're all on the B48 platform) it seems to me that there's a markedly different behavior in how the JB4 reports...
