Had a chance to get our new 2019 Q50 strapped down for a little dyno testing. The test car is 100% stock with 1700 miles on the odo, JB4 with v6 firmware and fuel control wires added, and running 91 octane with around 5 gallons of E85 added. Roughly E30.

Did a ton of testing only some of which I'll include in the post, but overall was pleased with the performance of the new JB4 fuel control. The AFR profiles I developed doing dragy testing resulted in the highest power output, picking up as much as 15-20whp in parts of the curve.

Result was a best of 422whp & 460wtq with the new JB4 v6 firmware and fuel control wires!

Since the car has the stock heat exchanger I took some effort to ensure the starting intercooler water temps were similar for each run but there is only so much to be done there.

Attached are some random runs including the baseline run, best run on v6 firmware map7 with fuel control enabled, best run on v6 firmware map7 without fuel control enabled, and a combination of some of the JB4 maps to give an idea of the power differences between each.

Up next we'll get the BMS intake and inlets installed, and get it back to the dyno!
