New 2 gallon low profile meth tank -

Pleased to announce the release of our new integrated universal water/meth tank. It's a once piece design with a mounting point for the pump and an integrated pump feed/baffle to ensure consistent performance. The low profile design makes it easy to fill and we have them in clear white for easy visual level checks or black for stealthier installations.

How safe is running meth. Any risk if you run out and your at WOT?
With a JB4 controlling water/meth it's quite safe. We hold boost low until meth is flowing and drop boost if meth flow starts to drop, in addition to numerous other safety systems.

This is cool! I'd love one designed to fit in the under trunk compartment of the 1er.
It costs around $30,000 to design the tanks, get the mold made, various 3D printed test articles, longer term testing, etc. So we can only do those for projected higher volume applications. The E82 doesn't make the cut for that, sorry. This tank does fit nicely in the E82 trunk space though pushed up against the rear seat.

You shouldn't make methanol tanks out of aluminium.
Just because the tanks doesn't leak immediately, doesn't mean it isn't causing an issue. Stainless steel or vulcanised poly are the only safe options.

You shouldn't make methanol tanks out of aluminium.
Just because the tanks doesn't leak immediately, doesn't mean it isn't causing an issue. Stainless steel or vulcanised poly are the only safe options.
From a fabrication and welding company that specialises in aluminium;
You will need to anodize aluminum tanks, they are common in the industry when done correctly.

Looking good. Will these replace the 2.3g tanks? Or both remain?
I would hope not. I got the 2.3 and it tucks away nicely on the side of my trunk on my E90. If they were discontinuing those, I don't think I could part with mine knowing I would have to look for a used one should I ever sell my meth kit. IMO, 2.3 is the way to go with a E90 unless Terry comes up with something that can be put in underneath the trunk mat.
